Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our team for a Personal Assistant supporting a young woman in her own home within the Rosyth area. The role includes, but is not limited to, supporting with a variety of activities, preparing meals and household/cleaning tasks. This is a 24-hour service, seven days a week with two members of staff on shift at all times. Shift patterns are predominantly 8am – 8pm dayshift, and 8pm – 8am sleeping nightshift. Nightshift hours are paid at an enhanced rate and are included in contracted hours.

I am a lady with cerebral palsy, I live in my own home and I am looking for an additional person to join my team.
I have a good sense of humour, I enjoy visiting friends, days out, theatre, creative writing, I attend a drama group, I also enjoy watching TV and listening to music whilst on my computer. I have 2 cats who are a big part of my life too.
I am looking for a reliable female, who can drive, as I have my own mobility vehicle, who is 25+ for insurance purposes. Preferably a non smoker, who likes animals and is able to work on their own initiative, has a good sense of humour, who is also kind, honest, caring and loyal.
The hours are made up of 1 x 24.5 hour shift, (part time) 10am until 10.30am, which includes 1 sleepover per shift. The hourly rate is £12 with 6 weeks holiday per year, with the opportunity of overtime to cover other staff holidays. The shift pattern is 3 Sundays 9.45-10.30 on the Monday and 1 Friday 10-10.30 on the Saturday.
During the shift you will be required to undertake all aspects of personal care, general household duties, feed cats and clean their litter tray, food prep, assisting with eating and drinking, trips out, shopping and any other reasonable duties that may occur during the shift.
Experience/Person Specification
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
You should have a current PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) or be willing to apply to the scheme.
Full, clean, UK driving license.
Non-smoker preferred.

He has limited communication skills; he uses some words but understands when a trusted adult is asking him to do something. He can display some behaviors that challenge, this happens when he becomes over stimulated due to his sensory needs and anxiety. As his Mum I will be able to help you understand these.
He thrives off routine and structure and with the right support, he is a happy, curious and fun boy to spend time with.
He requires 2:1 support in order to keep him safe. He needs time to build up a relationship and get to know new people.
Duties
Companionship, as my son struggles socially but once gains confidence around you will engage. To assist / supervise in activities he enjoys. He enjoys swimming and is competent in the water. He likes be outdoors, walks, parks and beaches. Likes to visit the trampoline parks. I aim to encourage physical activity with my son. He loves his food hence Mum encouraging the activity! Favorite's being Pepperoni Pizza (loves a visit to Frankie and Bennies at Braehead) and McDonalds. Occasionally you may be required to look after Callum at home if an evening session is required.
